DR FARRAH ROBERT

She said her academic course, which she termed as ‘3-in-1’ like a popular coffee drink, was a BSc (Hons) of Finance, Accounting and Management at UNM.

It was the best choice for her as it had the requisite recognition, structure and foundation to catapult further studies, an MBA and a PhD degree from Liverpool John Moores 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@, UK. (Yes, she supports the Liverpool Football Club).

Her studies and doctorate in hand eventually led to her current position as CEO of YPC International College, offering quality affordable education via sponsorships to financially challenged students and the B40 community.

“Quality education should be accessible to all …” is the mantra she repeats and wishes for more young people to see the benefit of education.

The impetus to study is lacking in the poorer sections of society and has fuelled her determination to effect change to this way of thinking. Dr. Robert credits her time at UNM for this dogged way of reflection.

Being a city-girl as Kuala Lumpur is her hometown, Dr. Robert appreciated the UNM campus for moulding characters, resilience and independence.

The ‘beautiful’ campus is situated both far away and yet near to home, she said, adding a nice 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ and an array of students’ personalities were on display.

From ‘the studious’ to the ‘not so studious’, Dr. Robert looks back at her time at UNM with much fondness.

Further praise was offered to UNM’s Tri Campus Games during her student day. Dr. Robert was a member of the team to the China campus to compete in the table tennis competition. Connections were forged during this time with students from the China campus as well as those from the UK campus that would not have been possible otherwise.

Much to her delight, Dr. Robert has recently reacquainted herself with a friend from the Tri Campus Games - with much acclaim and thanks to UNM for this happy reunion.
