Tunku Nasruan Adil Tunku Mudzaffar, also commonly known as Tunku Eddy had always wanted to be in the creative industry, which he got in right after graduation in the UK. It took a few years after that to sign up for a Master of Business Administration course at the Nottingham 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ Business School (NUBS) Malaysia to transform his life and start his own business
Of course, UNM is no stranger to Tunku Eddy. His brother, uncle and even his late grandfather (HRH Almarhum Tuanku Ja’afar ibni Tuanku Abdul Rahman, the 10th ruler of Negeri Sembilan and the 10th King of Malaysia, who attended the official launch of the UNM campus 25 years ago) had all studied in the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham and pursued successful careers themselves.
After stints in marketing for a post-production company and later client servicing for a creative agency, Tunku Eddy followed the path of his relatives for further education in UNM. “188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ for my MBA in Entrepreneurship at UNM was a pivotal chapter in both my career and personal growth. The programme didn’t just equip me with practical business knowledge — it fundamentally shifted how I saw myself. It gave me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and pursue my own business, something I may not have had the courage to do otherwise,” said the man who now runs his own marketing and talent upskilling agency called Mogul Works Asia with his business partner.
Tunku Eddy said the UNM experience exposed him to global perspectives, diverse peers, and inspiring mentors and he learnt innovation was not just being different but about being relevant and impactful.
“Most importantly, I learned the value of developing and following a process that works specifically for your business. There’s no one-size-fits-all model, and UNM gave me the confidence to design workflows tailored to my agency’s goals and culture,” he said.
Tunku Eddy had one word for his university experience. “Transformative!”
“ It wasn’t just about gaining knowledge — it was about growing into the person I needed to be for the next chapter of my career,” he said.
He gladly recommend UNM to those looking to shape their future career as it is a well-established, globally respected institution, adding that its campuses around the world — including the UK, China, and Malaysia — ensured being part of an international network that provides a global perspective right from the start.
“Whether you’re aiming to start your own business or join a global company, UNM gives you the tools, exposure, and confidence to move forward with purpose,” Tunku Eddy said.
